  • Protecting Our Green Spaces

Safeguarding our environment for future generations.

    Green Belt Preservation

The green belt around Stanmore is vital for maintaining biodiversity and providing residents with access to nature. It acts as a buffer against urban sprawl and plays a crucial role in climate regulation. Continuous efforts are necessary to protect these areas from development pressures that threaten their integrity.

    Country Park

Stanmore Country Park provides a sanctuary for both residents and wildlife. Recent conservation programs aim to improve pathways, enhance visitor facilities, and protect local habitats. The Society works with the Harrow Nature Conservation Forum on these topics.

    Vandalism Prevention Strategies

Preventing vandalism in our parks and green spaces is essential to maintaining their beauty and accessibility. By working together, we can help protect our shared environment from harm.

    Bentley Priory Open Space

We are pleased and honoured to support the Harrow Nature Conservation Forum in their aims to improve Bentley Priory Open Space, including restoring some of the original vistas, preserving historic items including a monument, a WWII pillbox (also a bat roost), and an ancient earthwork possibly part of Grim's Dyke.
